Living on the Outskirts of Nottingham, I am perfectly located to attend any event throughout the East midlands or further afield if required.
I have had the benefit of being trained by Peter York, Hon Life president of the Executive Guild of Toastmasters. Peter has been working in the Toastmaster role for well over 30yrs and he founded this Guild, which has national coverage, to ensure the high standards expected of Toastmasters are consistently met by all members. As a member of this National Guild I have the benefit of a support network and also full public liability insurance.
I trained as a Toastmaster as my career in the Police was coming to an end. Now retired from that role, I can put my time and energies in ensuring my clients get a first class service. Being a Police officer has taught me how to be confident in a range of circumstances and to anticipate the unexpected. I have experience of talking to people from all walks of life and am comfortable with large or small groups.
Away from the Police, I have volunteered as a Scout leader for most of my adult life. This has provided me with opportunities to organise many events both large and small. The most prominent of these was when I was selected to produce, direct and choreograph the Nottinghamshire Gang Show at the Theatre Royal, in Nottingham City Centre. This is a biennial variety show, for members of the Scout and Guide associations. They take over the professional theatre for a week of shows to the general public. The skills obtained in managing this sort of event are easily transferred across to the role of a Toastmaster when assisting in the planning and delivery of any occasion.
I pride myself on my service to others and in employing me you can rest assured that I will do everything in my power to ensure the smooth running of your occasion. I believe that if I treat all my work as though it was my own event, I cannot go far wrong and my clients will certainly benefit.
